Steps To Remove The AVG Toolbar

• Launch the web browser by clicking the desktop shortcut label or by clicking the plug-in on the quick access launch bar.
• Click on the label that reads Tools placed on top of the browser window.
• Now, scroll down the Tools drop down and highlight the label that reads Toolbars. The Toolbars sub menu will now list down the tools installed on the computer.
• From the Tools listed down, select the toolbar labeled AVG. This will make the toolbar disappear from the list that you are viewing.

• Close all the open web browser windows.
• Click on the Start orb placed on the bottom left corner of the home screen. From the Start menu pop up, select the label that reads Control Panel.
• Alternatively, you can launch the Start menu by pressing the key imprinted with the Windows logo. Now, the Control Panel allows the user to customize and manipulate the default settings.
• Next, change the Control Panel window view from category to classic by clicking the link that reads ‘switch to classic’.
• From the Control Panel window, select the label that reads Add or Remove Programs. The Programs and Features (in Windows Vista or Windows 7) or the Add or Remove Programs will list down the programs and applications installed on the system.
• Scroll down the Add or Remove Programs list until you find the label that reads AVG. Click on the AVG label. From the dropdown, select the option Uninstall. This option will help you uninstall the program from the computer. The uninstall wizard will launch after you click the Uninstall option. Follow the on screen instructions to remove the program from the device. Check the boxes to confirm the removal process and to proceed with the same.
• Hit the Finish option when the wizard prompts. Now, restart your computer and reinstall AVG. Make sure that you don’t check the box next to the Install the toolbar option during installation. This will reinstall AVG without the toolbar.
