How To Unlock An Administration Password On A Computer

The Windows operating system has a password reset disc that allows the user to reset the forgotten password. If you do not have a password reset disc, you will be forced to reinstall Windows to recover which will delete all the installed files and folders from your system drive. Follow the steps below to unlock an administrator password of your computer.

• Turn ON the device and log in to your admin account. If you have no access to your admin account, sign as the guest user. 
• Wait for the Windows OS to load. Launch the File Explorer or My Computer/ Computer window by double clicking the shortcut link on the desktop or on the taskbar. Alternatively, you can launch the same from the Start menu. To do this, first launch the Start menu by clicking the Windows orb placed on the bottom left corner of the home screen. Instead, you may use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + Esc or the key imprinted with the Windows logo to launch the Start menu. 
• You may also use the Windows +E shortcut combo to launch the File Explorer menu. Click on the icon labeled CD/DVD to make the drive eject. Insert the disc into the computer’s optical drive and hit the restart button to restart the computer. 
• Insert the disc in the computer's drive after you boot the Windows computer to the login screen. Select the label that reads administrator user from the list of user names. Place the mouse pointer in the text space next to the password. You need not bother typing the exact password. 
• Type any text in the Password text box and hit Enter. A warning window will pop up telling you that the entered password is incorrect. Hit the OK button to close the window and then hit the label that reads Reset password and instruct Windows to access the reset disc.
• Now enter the new password into the text space beneath the label that reads new password. Type the new Password into the text space and then hit the confirm password option. This will make the password reset disc log in to the computer, and your administrator password will reset to the new value.
