Steps To Link An Email Account To Outlook


Microsoft Outlook is an email application that lets the user synchronize all their email accounts under a single application window. Follow the Outlook tech support instructions below to sync your Email account, irrespective of the type or provider, with ease.

Instructions

Click on the File option in the top left corner of the Outlook window. From the File drop down menu, select the Add Account option.
Enter your name next to the label Your Name when prompted. Enter your e-mail address and password into the spaces next to the E-mail Address and Password labels. Re-enter the Password when prompted.
Click on the icon Next to proceed to the next step of installation. If Outlook is configured with the details submitted above, you can quit the set up. If the error or issue continues to persist, add necessary additional information. Check in the box next to the Manually configure server settings label and press the Next option to continue.
Click on the Internet E-mail option and then hit the Next option to proceed further.
Type in your Account details, including the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server Information details, into the spaces next to the labels that read the same.
Enter your email account, user name and password when prompted. Click on the More Settings button to proceed to the next step.
Enter the Email and service provider information details like the Outgoing server authentication settings into the respective fields in the Outgoing server Window.
Click OK, and then click the Next option. Click Finish to exit the set up, and to bring the changes in effect.
Make sure that you have an active internet connection. You will be unable to send or receive messages on Outlook if you do not have an active Internet connection. To check your Internet connection status, navigate to the Network connections page in your control panel page. Right click on the icon labeled Local Area connection. Select the label named Enable to activate the internet connection. Contact your service provider if the problems with internet connection continue to persist.
