- You need to press the Windows logo and ‘R’ keys simultaneously for bringing up the ‘Run’ dialog. Then you need to enter ‘cmd’ in the box, (you need to ignore the quotation marks) and then press the ‘Enter’ key. Then, the command prompt appears.
- You need to type ‘cd c:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common’ and then press the ‘Enter’ key. The prompt changes give you an indication that you have navigated to this folder.
- Then, you need to enter ‘unyt_wrap’ (again omitting the quotes) and press ‘Enter.’ You will see that a new window appears asking if you are sure that you wish to uninstall the Yahoo! Toolbar. Then, you need to click on the ‘Yes’ button.
- Subsequently, you need to click on the ‘No’ button when asked if you would like to send feedback about the Yahoo! Toolbar, then click on the ‘Close’ button. Then the Yahoo! Toolbar is uninstalled. You can now close the command prompt to continue working on your computer.
